MEJORAMIENTO DEL VALOR NUTRITIVO DE LA CACHAZA DESHIDRATADA MEDIANTE SU TRATAM IENTO CON AMONIACO
Keywords:
Ammonia, filtered mud, nutritive valueAbstract
With the objective of improving the nutritive value of filtered mud and determining the most efficient dose of ammonia, an experiment was carried out consisting in the treatment of this product with 1,2; 2,2; and 3,2 % of solubilized ammonia during 4 weeks, compared with a control. Double nylon bags with a capacity of 3 kg were used as experimental units at the rate of five replications per treatment. The indicators meassured were: dry matter (DM), crude fiber (CF), total crude protein (CPt) and insoluble crude protein (CPi ). The results were analyzed by means of a completely randomized design. The addition of ammoniated water decreased the contents of DM. But, after exposing the treatments to the air for 7 days, all of them reached similar values (x=91,0 %). There were not differences in CP because of ammonia, although there was a tendency to increase at the end of the meassured period (10,89 vs 14,67 %). CPt showed increase with the ammonia doses (0=6,18 d ; 1,2 %=11,44 c ; 2,2 %=17,08 b ; 3,2 %= 22,60ª). Nevertheless, after 3 days the variations were less and the values of 2,2 % (17,06ª) and 3,2 % (19,30ª) were equaled from the statistical point of view. CP i did not show significant differences among the treatments (1,2 %=8,71; 2,2 %=17,08; 3,2 %=22,60), although as it represents a high
percentage of CPt, it permits to visualize a more efficient use of NPN. The treatment with 2,2 % of ammonia is conclude to be the most effective and convenient for the processing of filtered mud.
